German supermodel Claudia Schiffer and her British film director husband Matthew Vaughn announced on Saturday the birth of their third child, a girl.
The infant, who has yet to be named, was born Friday at the Portland Hospital, a specialist private hospital in central London for women and children, the couple said in a statement.

"Mother and baby are doing well," the statement added.
The German newspaper Die Welt said Schiffer gave birth by caesarean section.
Schiffer, 39, and "Kick-Ass" director Vaughn, also 39, have been married since 2002. Their other children are son Caspar, seven, and daughter Clementine, five.
The blonde, blue-eyed supermodel first won fame in the 1990s as the face of Chanel and Guess jeans, and she remains on contract with French cosmetics group L'Oreal.
She appears nude and heavily pregnant on the cover of the June issue of German Vogue, photographed by Karl Lagerfeld.
