British Woman Beaten To Death In Crete

A British man has been arrested in Crete on suspicion of beating his 21-year-old girlfriend to death.
Greek police said the 22-year-old man, is being held after Chelsea Hyndman died of internal injuries in hospital on the island.
The suspect has been named locally as Luke Walker.
Lawyer George Koundourakis, who will represent Mr Walker in court, said his client denied guilt.
A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that a British national died yesterday in Crete.
"We understand that a British national was detained on Sunday."
Mr Walker is facing charges of "causing fatal bodily injury".
Chelsea Hyndman
Miss Hyndman, from Leeds, died yesterday, a day after she was admitted to hospital in Heraklion suffering from severe abdominal pain.
A tribute page set up on Facebook has attracted more than 200 members.
Natalie Sloper, who created the page, wrote: "Chelsea Hyndman was one of the most awesome, kindest, fantastic girls you could ever meet.
"Recently she has passed away leaving as all shocked and grieving at this sudden loss.
"I am starting this page so that all who knew her can share stories, good times, witty anecdotes, foul mouthed comments from this wonderful girl.
"Chelsea you will be missed so much. Thank you for touching my life the way you did, you made moments I'll never forget!"
It is understood the alleged incident took place in the coastal holiday resort of Malia, where Ms Hyndman was working.
Heraklion police said Miss Hyndman suffered ruptured internal organs, "evidently caused by the use of physical violence".
She underwent surgery but died in the hospital's intensive care unit.
Mr Koundourakis said his client will appear in court for a preliminary hearing at midday on Thursday.
Mr Koundourakis asked for 48 hours to prepare his case.
The hearing at the court in Heraklion will establish whether Mr Walker is to face charges and whether he will be allowed bail.
Mr Koundourakis said it would be a closed hearing.
